Drafted aggressive liability shields: “NO MEMBER SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO THE COMPANY OR ITS MEMBERS FOR BREACH OF ANY DUTY”

Question for investigation: Did he know his client had 9 convictions and claimed a J.D. not confirmed by bar records? Did he draft the liability shield with knowledge of his client’s history?

Central Michigan University — Charter Authorizer

Authorized MacDowell Preparatory Academy’s charter. CMU is supposed to vet charter operators before granting authorization. Their charter agreement requires background checks.

Question: Did CMU verify Banks’ claimed J.D.? Did they check ICHAT?

DPSCD — Charter Authorizer

Authorized Purpose Charter Academy’s charter. Board includes Sherry Gay-Dagnogo — CBC honoree of Banks, successor to Banks’ HD-1 seat.

Question: Did the board member with a social relationship to the charter operator recuse from the authorization vote?

Baker College

Employs Banks as faculty/instructor. Accredited by Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC standards require institutional integrity in faculty credentialing.

Question: Did Baker verify the J.D. Banks lists in his bio?

Michigan State University College of Law

Source of Banks’ fraudulent J.D. claim. Alumni connections include Judge Cylenthia Miller and Judge Aliyah Sabree (2010 — same year Banks claims).

Question: Did Banks attend but not complete? Did he attend at all? Why haven’t MSU Law alumni who know the truth reported it?
